Note from the Moderator
I have decided to change the policy on voting for the form of the month as I never seem to have many votes. The month after a certain form is given, people will still be free to vote. The winning poem will be displayed two months after it was given and the poems from the previous month will be voted on. If anyone thinks this policy is a bad idea, let me know your objections, as I am still quite new to this.

Write-Ups
If you want to do an official write-up on any forms with a specified rhyme scheme, meter, and/or repetition, please note *
poetic-forms. Suggestions on forms for others to write up are welcome.
The write-ups should contain a brief history of the form, perhaps an example, and a full description of the rhyme scheme, meter, common themes, etc. You will receive a

next to your name for accepted form write-ups.
We could use some help here. If someone would like to do a write up for sonnets it would be especially appreciated.

Sent a note to join this group, especially as I noticed quite a few people in it who are interested in Eastern poetic forms, which is my main interest (my signature is in haiku form, in case that didn't give me away already). I believe these forms ought to have more recognition in the DA community and deserve thorough treatment.

Renga!
Is this community still going? I love the structure of some of the more unusual forms of poetry and would love to be a part of this.
Thanks!

I've left multiple messages, sent notes, and so on. I know what it means to be busy, believe me... but if I'm not going to get so much as a reply saying "Sorry, busy, will get back to you" when I've taken the time to tap out ideas and questions, then I'm already on my way out.
